Tamworth Festival 2009

A big well done to all those that entered the Tamworth Summer Festival 2009

Following a lot of hard work by both Tamworth Breeders' Club Committee Members and Tamworth Council Members the Tamworth Summer Festival finally got off the ground with hopefully annual visits to the ancestral home of our much loved Tamworth Pigs.

We were approached some time a go by Tamworth Council and asked if it would be possible for members to bring their pigs to The Tamworth Summer Festival. Following face to face meetings with council members a format was devised and the clubs first visit to our pigs ancestral home was realised. As you can see display boards were erected and local people invited to see and meet the pigs that were given their towns name.

A really big thank you to everyone who made this event possible. Let's hope it becomes an annual event with even more members bringing and showing their Tamworth Pigs next year.
