Tamworth Pig Breeders' Club

TIPS AND ADVICE IN OUR FORUM.

In the forum we offer tips and advice from club members on how to keep your pigs and piglets in tip top condition and of course lots, lots more!

Just click on the picture below....

Our forum page has and continues to be one of our most popular pages.

With our forum you can now upload pictures, add smilies, make your text move, amongst many other things. This all makes for some fun posts and makes our forum page more appealing.

All that we ask is that you register to make the posts.  A very simple one off task which will give you the opportunity to choose a username which will be used whenever you post. You can change your profile at any time after registering.  Just log in and away you go!  Please remember your password though as you will need it to log in again!

We have divided the forums up into groups, so just think of a topic, select the appropriate forum and post.  It really is that simple!  There is also a  'News and Announcements' category.  This will be to view only and will hopefully include all the latest news and gossip from your club.  As some of you may know I am very close to the secretary, so hopefully there will be some 'hot of the press', announcements!

There is a test page so that you can test the system.  Although any posts there are visible to all, they will be deleted on a regular basis.

Please use the forums and just, 'have a go'!  On line forums are a great way of getting to know the thoughts and ideas of other. 'pig people'.  Club members are scattered all over the country, so these forums really are a great way of getting to know what fellow, 'pig people' are doing even though they may be miles apart.  The more people participate the more fun the forums are!

Finally, if you do discover any problems please email me and I will hopefully sort them out...!

5 SIMPLE STEPS TO FORUM REGISTRATION...!

Unfortunately as our forum/web site has become more popular we have fallen victim to 'spammers' and it has become necessary to take steps in order to combat the posts that these 'people' make.  Hopefully though this has not deterred genuine people from registering.

It still appears though, that some people are having problems, so here is a simple guide for those new forum members wishing to register...

  1. Go to the forum page and click on the 'Register' button at the top of the page.
  2. Enter a Username of your choice, a genuine email address and then the verification code that has been generated.  You will also need to click 'agree' to the 'user agreement' then click on the 'register' button at the bottom of the page.
  3. You will then be sent an email to the email address you have given which asks you to click on a link.  Click this link and it will take you back to the forum.  You will still not be able to login at this stage.  Note: also ensure that this email has not been put in your 'Junk' folder if you have a spam filter on!
  4. Your account should now be activated and another email will have been sent to you with a password on it.
  5. Use your Username and the password in the second email to login.

Once you have logged in you will then be able to change the password to something more memorable, and any other settings you may wish, by clicking on the 'Profile' tab at the top of the page and then the 'Profile' button then 'Edit Profile' on the next screen.

Best of luck and we all look forward to seeing your posts on our forum pages...!
